So…. what have we been up to…

Well we’ve not posted anything on here for ages that’s for sure. The reason is fairly obvious to anyone who knows us or reads this blog.

On August 25th at 4pm, Joseph Albert Eric Jordan was born, our beautiful new baby boy. He weighed 8lb 2oz although in the last 3 weeks he’s been whacking the weight on like Wayne Rooney on his summer holidays and he’s now 9lb 5oz !!!

We’re both absolutely delighted obviously although the first couple of weeks have been really hard work, in fact they are sooooo much harder than anyone had even hinted at. Sometimes he’s sleeping for 45 minutes at a time during the night, sometimes not at all and then last night out of the blue he went 6 hours without waking up. We both sat up wondering what the hell was going on, panicking as if something was wrong, but no he was quite happy.

We’ve spent most of the last 3 weeks getting out and about, trips to Liverpool, coffee with friends, walks in the park, over to see the grandparents etc. It’s been so hectic but brilliant to be able to show him off to everyone. I am the proudest Dad alive and I know Lou feels the same way.

So anyway, we’re off to bed soon, another rock star like evening for us, in bed by 9, so I’ll leave you with a picture from one of Joseph’s baths. He finally seems to have got used to the water and we’ve got some cracking pictures of him in there enjoying the bubbles.
